Neil Peart Community Tribute

The music world was saddened by the tremendous loss of (arguably) rock music's greatest drummer, Neil Peart, on January 7, 2020. Neil's music and life were an inspiration for multiple generations of musicians across the globe.

It is hard for us to put into words our feelings for others. Even for Neil, who for some of us would be a perfect stranger. He said it best about himself in the lyrics to the Rush song "Limelight": "I can't pretend a stranger is a long awaited friend". For those of us touched by his poetic verses, we may not know how to express our grief over his loss.

Lucas Funeral Homes is honored to host a Community Tribute for Neil Peart to bring together Rush fans who would want to celebrate his amazing life and music. We will greet fans and mourners from 5 to 8 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at our Lucas Funeral Home in Keller: 1601 S. Main St. (Hwy 377), Keller, Texas 76248.
