William Joseph Hawk, Jr.

William Joseph Hawk Jr., known to family and friends as Bill, age 70, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away on August 29, 2026.

Bill was born on October 8, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio. At the age of 17, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Never asking for praise or thanks, but always proud of what he accomplished.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Ethel Hawk; his four children, Louis, Billy and his wife Meghan, Elizabeth, and Laura; and his seven grandchildren, Melania, Vince, Avery, Victoria, Liam, Jace, and Noah.

Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, going out to lunch and simply spending time with his loving wife and best friend, Ethel, hustling people at pool and poker, shopping and finding a good deal, and celebrating Christmas, his favorite time of year. He was also known for his sense of humor and his ability to make those around him laugh.

Above all, Bill treasured his family and the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
