Wanda Wyatt

January 6, 1945 — September 23, 2025

Wanda Wyatt, of Keller, peacefully departed this worldly Earth on September 23, 2025, promoted into the arms of her Lord and Savior.

Wanda was born on January 6, 1945, in Abilene, Texas, to Avery Todd, Sr., and Gladys (Dowell) Todd. The beloved matriarch of our family married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Wyatt. When they met, Jerry was instructed that he could only call on Wanda on Sundays if he went to church. They married in June 1963.

She was a high school teacher for 13 years at Beltline Road Baptist Christian School and a member of 2nd Mile Church in Keller. She loved quilting, photography and genealogy. Most of all, Wanda loved her Lord, loved her husband, her children, her grandchildren and her family. Any glory that she will be receiving, let it go to Jesus, her Redeemer.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 62 years, Jerry Wyatt, her sister Joyce Spangler, son Eric Wyatt and wife Patty, daughter Stacey R. Castro, her cherished grandchildren Wesley Smith, Nicholas Cecil, Colton Wyatt, Cade Wyatt, Sarah Tinsley, Taylor McKnight and husband Trace, Alfredo Arrieche, great-granddaughter Blaire McKnight and nephew Todd Spangler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Avery Todd, Jr., brother-in-law Jim Spangler, and granddaughter Nicole Renee Rosson. She will be happy to see them in Heaven and especially see the face of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family will receive guests on Monday, September 29, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. Please join us for a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, September 30, 1:00 p.m., at 2nd Mile Church, 5330 Basswood Blvd., in Fort Worth (Keller). A private graveside ceremony will take place at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Although Wanda's passing leaves a void, her beautiful life and legacy will forever live on in our hearts.
