Victoria “Vicky” Hendrick, of Fort Worth TX, unexpectedly passed away and went to be with her Lord on January 18th, 2026. She was a beloved sister, aunt, niece, daughter, and loving Christian wife.
Vicky loved big, unselfishly, and with her whole heart. She was born at Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico on March 24th, 1960, to Jim and Sharron Harris. She grew up in a military family moving every few years. She graduated from Alamogordo (NM) High School in 1978. Even while working full-time, she still made time for her biggest passion which was caring for her family, friends, and all the “fur” babies she rescued over the years. After Vicky and husband Keith were married on June 6, 1992, in Melbourne FL, they lived for 10 1/2 years in Marietta and Woodstock, Georgia, and 23 years in Fort Worth, Texas.
Vicky is survived by her husband of 33 ½ years, Keith Hendrick of Fort Worth, TX, her mother Sharron Harris of Chesapeake, VA, her heartbroken sisters Cathy Long of Portsmouth, VA, Debbie Cook of Stafford, VA, Sheryl Lowry of Charleston, SC, and Karen White of Watertown, TN, her aunt and uncle Nan and Royce Harris of Prattville, AL, 16 nieces and nephews, and 18 great nieces and nephews. The oldest of the nieces and nephews, Candice Rose, grew up with Vicky for her early years looking up to Vicky as another mother.
Vicky was preceded in death by her father, Jim Harris, and both sets of grandparents Catherine and Willard Harris, and Frances and Ned Walter.
A memorial service for Vicky Hendrick will be conducted on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM CT at the Brown Trail Church of Christ, 1801 Brown Trail, Bedford, TX 76021. Service will be led by John O’Dell, Associate Minister.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, voluntary donations in her memory can be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief fund, to the Brown Trail School of Preaching, or to your favorite animal rescue.
