Veronica Madelein Placencia Cornejo

Veronica Madeleine Plascencia Martinez, 29, of Crowley, passed away peacefully at home on May 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was born on August 26, 1996, in La Piedad, Mexico to Berenice Cornejo and Benjamin Plascencia. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, family member, and friend whose kindness, warmth, and loving spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Veronica was the strongest woman our family had ever known. She was thoughtful, selfless, caring, and faced every challenge in life with incredible strength and resilience. Even through her battle with cancer, Veronica continued to fight with courage and grace, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her love, compassion, and unwavering spirit inspired everyone around her and left a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.She loved reading, caring for animals, and especially adored her cats, who brought her comfort and happiness throughout her life. Veronica found joy in the simple moments spent with her family, her pets, and the things she loved most.

She will be remembered for her beautiful heart, her strength, and the unconditional love she shared with her family and friends. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and peace to those around her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved her.

Veronica is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Martinez; her cherished feline children, Stormy Martinez, Rouge Martinez, Gambit Martinez, and Nightcrawler; her parents, Berenice Cornejo and Benjamin Plascencia; her siblings, Jonathan, Brayan, Dulce, and Violet; her nephews, Adrian, Randy, and Remy; and her nieces, Payton and Rosalia.

Nació el 26 de agosto de 1996 en La Piedad, hija de Berenice Cornejo y Benjamin Plascencia. Veronica fue una esposa, hija, hermana, tía y amiga muy querida, recordada por su gran corazón, fortaleza y amor incondicional hacia su familia y amigos. A pesar de su enfermedad, siempre enfrentó la vida con valentía, amor y esperanza. Disfrutaba leer, cuidar animales y amaba profundamente a sus gatos.

Le sobreviven su esposo, Christopher Martinez; sus padres; sus hermanos, Jonathan, Brayan, Dulce y Violet; así como sus sobrinos y demás familiares que la amarán y recordarán por siempre.

La familia agradece las oraciones, el cariño y el apoyo recibidos en estos momentos difíciles.
