Venson Reyes was born on November 22, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Nellie Alcala and Edward Roman Reyes. He passed away on January 20, 2024 in Arlington, Texas at the age of 57.
Venson was a Christian man who loved the Lord and was assured by God’s Grace to be present in his savior’s kingdom. He was a loving father and devoted grandfather. He worked in security but his commitment was to the Jesus Christ and his family. He loved to make people laugh and a had times when he would act goofy and jovial. He was a smart and loyal man who loved all Dallas Sports teams such as the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, the Mavericks and Texas Rangers. He was an avid golfer and a talented musician. He had friends everywhere and he was well loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Edward Reyes, Jr. and Joe Reyes.
He is survived by his sons, Jason Reyes and wife, Nycole of Fort Worth and Venson R. Reyes; grandchildren, Dixie Reyes and Amaziah Reyes; sister, Sylvia Gustafson and partner, Christina Ramos of North Richland Hills; brother, Rafiel Reyes of Fort Worth, sister, Martha Sisk of North Richland Hills, and sister, Sandra Rhoden of Fort Worth; nieces and nephew, Christopher, Kristina, Courtney, Callie and Adline as well as great nieces and nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends.
A memorial service to celebrate of his life will be held at 6:00 P.M., Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Lucas Funeral Home located at 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76053.
