A Life of Faith and Devotion
On February 4, 2026, at 79 years of age, Ursuline Baron (Constant) peacefully entered eternal rest.
She was born on March 31, 1946, in Petit Soufrière, Dominica, W.I., to Jean Baptiste and Clayrina Constant. Ursuline lived a life marked by unwavering faith and deep devotion to family.
One of her favorite hymns, “It Is Well with My Soul,” reflected the quiet strength she carried through every season.
She loved to travel, to lime, and to gather family and friends around the table. No one left hungry. Hospitality was her ministry.
Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, filling her days with energy, laughter, and purpose.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Her siblings: Eden, Francillia, Theresa, Pearl, Veronique, Louis, Griffin, Ignatious, and Peter
Her children: Evan Lee Baron, Allex Baron and Mary Anne, Ruth Palmer and Sidney, Henry Baron and Angel, Rick Baron and Lindsey.
Her grandchildren, Evan Lee, Leanna and Jason, Allexa, Aiddan, Rajeuna, Jeremiah, Sid Jr., Bria, Sed, Everett, Noah, Hannah, Grace, Malachi, Altin, and Maia.
Her great-grandchildren: Carmelo, Eliana, Teyana, Raine, Kaynan, Marly, Sydney, and Jo
Her extended family member, Ramon Poindexter, and a host of family and friends she regarded as family.
A Life Marked in the Margins
Our mother’s story was written long before any obituary could capture it. It lived in the margins of her Bibles—wellworn companions that held the dates, prayers, and memories of a woman whose faith shaped every corner of her life.
In her first Bible, she recorded the moment her life changed forever: saved on July 27, 1975, at the age of 29; baptized on August 31, 1975. From that point on, she used those pages as a spiritual ledger of love. She wrote down when family members were saved. She listed prayer requests for church members. She noted ministries she hoped to support. She underlined scriptures that stirred her heart. And above all, she prayed the same simple, steady prayer: “I give my children to You, Lord, by faith, hope, and love.”
Her second Bible became something even more intimate. Between its pages, she tucked the story of her family.Books of scripture held pictures of her loved ones.
In Deuteronomy, the birth announcement for Allexa Mercedes Baron.
In 2 Samuel, a photo of Henry at the Grand Canyon.
In Psalms, Malachi and Maia’s soccer bookmarks, graduations of Ricky, Rai, Jeremiah, and Evan, Allex at private school, and Henry at church.
In Proverbs, Noah, Hannah and Grace, Leanna in the 1 st grade, and Sister Louise.
In Isaiah, a picture of Mommy, Ruthy, and Rai in all pink.
In Ezekiel, the birth announcement of Ricky.
In Matthew, a picture of little Rai.
In John, a picture of Mommy and Henry in San Francisco for Allexa’s birth.
In Romans, a photo of Mommy and Henry when he returned from basic training.
In Ephesians, Lee’s Peace Corps graduation.
In Philippians, a picture of Allex, Mary Anne, Leanna, Allexa, and Aiddan.
Each image placed with intention. Each one a quiet act of prayer and remembrance. Each one a testament to how she carried her family with her—literally—every time she opened the Word.
On January 24, 2026, she added one final note: “When I die, give the Bible to Ruth.” Even in her last written words, she was still giving, still thinking of others, still placing her love in someone’s hands.
Her Bibles began with the same verse, the one she chose to guide her steps:
Psalm 119:105 — “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
It was the verse she lived by. It is the verse she leaves with us. And it is the light by which we will remember her—steadfast, unwavering, and full of faith.
Lord, I Lift Your Name on High (Chorus) Lord, I lift Your name on high Lord, I love to sing Your praises I’m so glad You’re in my lifeI ’m so glad You came to save us You came from heaven to earth to show the way From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky Lord, I lift Your name on high
