Ulavon Louise Niemuth

September 22, 1940 — July 23, 2025


Ulavon Louise (Remling) Niemuth was born September 22, 1940, in her grandparent’s farmhouse just south of Vilas, Colorado to parents Roy Raymond and Lavon (Cottrell) Remling and entered into eternal rest on July 23, 2025 at the age of 84. She attended Springfield (CO) High School, Blair College (Colorado Springs, CO), North Lake Community College (Irving, TX), and Commercial College (Dallas, TX). In high school she was a lifeguard and swim instructor, a member of the Glee club, Pep Club, and the starting center on the girls’ basketball team all four years. In August of 1959 she wed the love of her life, Jon Niemuth and they were married until his passing in 2019, just shy of their 60 th anniversary. They raised three boys Barry, Jerry, and Rodney, who were all born in Rapid City, SD. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for 5 years and a Room Mother for 6 years. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.

 She entered real estate in 1978 with First Mark/Wilson & Wilson. She joined Henry S. Miller in 1981 and was promoted to Vice President of the Irving office in 1983. She was a Realtor and Broker with the Irving Board of Realtors for many years and served multiple positions at both the local and state level. She was a member of the Irving Chamber of Commerce (Member – Education Committee), PTA Life Membership Award & State Membership as well from Lee Britain Elementary (Irving, TX), Served on Irving ISD Public Information Task Force, and won “Best Boss Award” Las Colinas Newspaper People Poll. She represented the Irving Board of Realtors for various local media, including both print and broadcast media. She was a Charter Member of the Women’s Council of Realtors/Irving Chapter, having served as Chairman or member of multiple committees. She initiated the Special Awards Committee, the Affiliate Committee, and the Million Dollar Producer Luncheon with Special Affiliate Recognition while President of the Irving Board of Realtors. She was a Charter Member of City of Irving Building Standards Committee where she served two terms on the Committee. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her husband Jon Niemuth, brother Kelly Remling, parents, and grandparents.

 She is survived by son Barry and wife Lisa of Canyon Lake, TX; son Jerry and wife Rachel of Keller, TX; Son Rodney and wife Liz of Decatur, TX; Grandchildren: Michael, Hunter, Nolan, Blake, Zachary, Reece, Faith, and Caden, sister Anita Bishop of Springfield, CO; niece Staci Bishop of Springfield, CO; niece Leah Bishop of Ft. Collins, CO; nephew Troy Bishop of Springfield, CO; nephew Scott Remling of Ft. Collins, CO; niece Leila Mulder of Ft. Collins, CO; niece Magge Sauder of Chicago. IL; other loving family members, and many more friends. Mom always thought of herself as a “Country Girl” and didn’t forget where she came from. She loved Baca county, Springfield, going to the fair back home, windmills, her dogs, and the Dallas Cowboys (Some seasons more than others). She was a peacemaker, an encourager, always ready for a new friend, an eager ear to hear, and a comforter. On the occasions that skill set wasn’t in need, she was also quite adept as a tail kicker and name taker.
