Tommy Stephan Adams of Goes Station, Ohio, born on April 30, 1948, to William Thomas Adams and Clemma Alice Carroll, passed away on May 19, 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, colleague, and mentor to all who knew and loved him.

He was raised with the values of hard work, loyalty, humility, and kindness, qualities that remained at the center of his life, and shaped the man he became. Tommy was drafted into the United States Army in 1968 and proudly served his country for two years, receiving an honorable discharge with the rank of Sergeant. His military service reflected the courage, discipline, and integrity that defined his character throughout his life.

Throughout his life, Tommy was known for his kindness, humor, generosity, and unwavering strength. He had a compassionate heart, and wisdom that comforted and inspired those around him. Tommy never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and important. His presence brought peace and laughter, and his words carried warmth, sincerity, and understanding. He was the kind of man who offered help without being asked, and loved without conditions. Tommy carried himself with humility and grace, finding joy in simple moments and strength even in difficult times. His resilience, and deep devotion to his family were evident in everything he did. To those who loved him, Tommy was not only a source of guidance and encouragement, but also a steady light whose compassion and goodness touched countless lives.

He enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, sports, music, and, most of all, spending time with his family. Some of his greatest joys came from sharing meals, stories, holidays, and family traditions with the people he loved most. Tommy lived a life rooted in love to his family, and the memories he created will be treasured for generations to come.

Tommy is survived by his beloved wife, Anita Adams (Gutierrez) of Euless, Texas; his daughter, Shelly Winkler of Fort Worth, Texas, and her husband, Charles Winkler; his son, Gabriel Adams of Hurst, Texas, and his wife, Amy Adams; and his son, William T. Adams, and his wife, Vanessa Adams of Bedford, Texas.

He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Dylan Winkler, Taylor Winkler, Brithney Newberry, Camryn Adams, Avery Adams, Aiden Adams, and Ethan Adams; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Ellie Rose, Oliver, Chloe and Max.Tommy is further survived by his brothers, Tim Adams (Millie) and Rick Adams (Shelly); and his sisters, Brenda Camerino (Pete) and Carolann “Sissy” White (Pie).

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Adams and Clemma Alice Carroll; his brother, Nicholas “Nippy” Adams; his sister, Jean Weir; his brother, Donald T. Adams; and his sister, Jerri Philpot.

Funeral services will be held on June 6, 2026 at 2:00pm, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76053. A memorial service and celebration of Tommy’s life will follow. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember the remarkable life he lived.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the caregivers, medical staff, friends, and hospice team for their support, compassion, and care during this difficult time.

Though deeply missed, Tommy’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
