Tomi Abe Shelton

Tomi-san, as she was affectionally known, was born in Fukashima, Japan in 1932. She emigrated to America in 1961 having married an American serviceman.

Tomi married Marlan Shelton in Hurst in 1982 and lived the last 43 years of her life in Bedford.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Hikaru and Saiki.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Marlan Shelton of Bedford, her half-sister Keiko Sekiguchi of Saitama, Japan and her special friend Tri Pham and family of Arlington, Tx.

After retiring from the foodservice industry Tomi occupied her time taking care of her husband, her home, her many friends and her wonderful flowers.

Tomi-san was a special person who was much-loved by all who knew her. She is deeply missed!
