In Loving Memory of Tipoti "Sonny" Tipoti Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Tipoti "Sonny" Tipoti Jr., who passed away on August 18 in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 70.

Born on July 20, 1956, in American Samoa, Sonny lived a life marked by hard work, sacrifice, laughter, and unconditional love. He began his working years on the wharf in American Samoa before moving to Hawaii, where he worked at a recycling plant. He later continued that work in Las Vegas before eventually settling in Texas, where he became a groundskeeper at the Grapevine Golf Course. Wherever life took him, Sonny worked tirelessly to provide for his family and build a better life for those he loved.

If you knew Sonny, you knew a man with a heart as big as his smile. He was selfless, generous, and always willing to help anyone in need. He gave without expecting anything in return, found joy in caring for others, and made kindness feel effortless because it was simply who he was.

Sonny loved WWE wrestling and was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers. He enjoyed cheering on his team, sharing stories, and spending time with family and friends. These simple joys were more than pastimes; they were part of how he connected with people and turned ordinary moments into lasting memories.

To know Sonny was to know laughter. He was often the funniest person in the room, always ready with a joke, a story, or a smile. Even on difficult days, he found a way to lift the spirits of those around him. Family and friends will forever hear his signature phrase, "LOOKING GOOOOD!", spoken with the enthusiasm and love that were so much a part of him.

Above all else, Sonny's greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, six children, twenty grandchildren, and one precious grandchild on the way. His family was the center of his world, and he loved each of them deeply. The lessons he taught, the sacrifices he made, and the love he gave will continue to live on for generations.

It is impossible to fully express how much Sonny meant to those who knew and loved him. Our grief is deep, but so is our gratitude for the time we shared with him. We will miss his laughter, his stories, his generous heart, and the way he made everyone feel welcome.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit remains in the memories he created, the family he cherished, and the many lives he touched.

Dad, thank you for your love, your strength, your humor, and your example. Thank you for always showing up for us and reminding us to find joy in life. We will miss you every day and carry you in our hearts forever.
