Thomas Joseph Pittacora, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 85. Born on September 12, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Lucy Pittacora, Thomas lived a life full of cherished moments, deep connections, and unwavering love.
He was a devoted husband of 62 years to Charlene L. (Prince) Pittacora, with whom he shared a profound bond that spanned many wonderful years. Their relationship was a testament to the beauty of companionship and mutual respect, and it brought joy not just to them but to all who knew them.
As a father, Thomas was admired and adored by his son, Darren Paul Pittacora, and his wife, Angie (Baty) Pittacora, who carry on his legacy with pride. His grandchildren, Katie L. Pittacora, Thomas J. Pittacora, and Lily Pittacora, were especially dear to him; moments spent with them were filled with laughter and wisdom, as he embraced the joys of watching them grow.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, leaving behind an impressive legacy of love and strength. He is also survived by his sister, JoAnn Pittacora, of Elk Grove Village, IL, along with his cherished cousins, Fred Sullivano of St. Charles, IL, Jim Cimarolli of Sulphur Springs, and Maria Cimarolli Koenig of Azle, all of whom hold fond memories of their time together.
A proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Thomas found great fulfillment in his faith and community service. He served honorably in the Army in Seoul, South Korea, a commitment that showcased his dedication to his country and fellow citizens.
An avid golfer and bowler, Thomas spent his leisure time enjoying these beloved sports, which became cherished pursuits that created lasting bonds with friends and family alike. He embraced life with a sense of adventure and an infectious spirit that left an indelible mark on those around him.
The visitation to celebrate Thomas’s life will be held on September 27, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas with refreshments directly thereafter at the funeral home. As family and friends gather to honor his memory, we invite all who were touched by his kindness, warmth, and generosity to come and share in the reflections of a remarkable life led with purpose.
Thomas Joseph Pittacora will forever be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering love, and profound impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will continue to shine brightly through his family and the countless lives he enriched throughout his journey.
