Theresa Kay Tyler was born on February 22, 1957, to Willard Clay and Florine Whitcomb Tyler in Miami, Oklahoma. She lived in many states growing up, graduating from Tupelo High School in 1975. She worked as an Administrative Assistant until health issues caused her to retire. Theresa loved to travel, read, listen to music and spend time with her family and friends. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She had a huge heart and was very generous – always shopping for just the perfect gifts to give to her family and friends. She loved her Lord and her church and was an active member of Richland Hills Christian Church for 49 years, participating in the Christian Women’s Fellowship and the Seeker’s Sunday School class.
Theresa was a wonderful daughter, big sister, aunt, great aunt and dear friend. She was welcomed into the arms of Jesus unexpectantly Sunday afternoon, February 1, 2026. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Willard Tyler. She is survived by her mother, Florine Tyler, siblings, Pam Runnels (Toby), Gregg Tyler (Stevanna) and Vicki Tyler (Bill Winnett); nieces and nephews Gregg Tyler (Sara), Nathaniel Runnels, Emily Young (Brad), Jaclyn Williams (Rusty), and Lane Lewis; great nieces and nephews Kaitlyn, Chloe and Hartley Tyler, Ashlynn Young, Grayson and Easton Williams and Braylee Lewis and several aunts and cousins.
