Tessa Elizabeth McCall

April 24, 1960 — March 26, 2026

Tessa Elizabeth McCall was born on April 24, 1960, in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the youngest of seven children and the identical twin of Brenda A. Venable. During her childhood, she lived on both the East Coast and the West Coast, including Bellingham, Washington, before her family settled in Biloxi, Mississippi, where she graduated from Biloxi High School. Tessa maintained many of those friendships throughout her life.

Later, she and Brenda followed their brother Bryan to Houston, Texas. There, Tessa earned a degree in accounting from the University of Houston. She met the love of her life, Daniel McCall, and they married. Due to Daniel’s work, they traveled and welcomed their first son, Dylan Cole McCall, in Boston, Massachusetts and their second son Dawson Grey McCall in Tampa Florida. After returning to their roots in Texas, they settled in Keller.

Tessa’s most treasured role in life was being a mother. She was deeply devoted to her sons and would have done anything for them. She loved the outdoors and found joy in her gardens, lovingly nurturing her plants. She loved animals and rescued countless dogs, cats, birds or any stray animal in need.

Tessa was strong-willed and firm in her beliefs. She spent many summers in Bridgeport, Texas, at her lake house, where she welcomed her sons’ friends and created lasting memories. She enjoyed walking miles each day through the town of Roanoke, TX with her beloved dog, Willie, even purchasing a stroller so he could continue to join her as he grew older.

She became a familiar and cherished presence in downtown Roanoke, forming many lasting friendships, She also developed close relationships with her weekly Bible study friends who she loved very much. Tessa and her twin, Brenda, shared a special bond throughout their lives. They once attended a high school reunion together and walked over ten miles side by side. Over the years, they remained close, spending many summers together with Tessa’s sons and Brenda’s daughters, Courtney and Kali, swimming and exploring.

Tessa was deeply connected to her family and friends. Over the last year and a half of her life, she fought courageously to remain with them, enduring countless treatments and trial medications. Throughout this difficult journey, her husband, Daniel, remained faithfully by her side, caring for her with unwavering devotion and grace.

She wanted everyone to know she fought hard and wanted to be here, in this life, surrounded by her husband, family, and friends.

She will be forever loved and deeply missed.
