Burleson, Texas

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Suzanne Marie “Suzy” Braun, who passed away on July 22, 2026, in Burleson, Texas, at the age of 69.

Suzy was born on October 19, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas. She was raised in Farmington, New Mexico, where she graduated as valedictorian of the Farmington High School Class of 1974. She went on to attend New Mexico State University, earning an accounting degree and graduating summa cum laude. After college, she lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she worked for many years with PNM of New Mexico. She later moved to Burleson, Texas, where she made her home for more than 20 years.

Suzy was known for her intelligence, independence, and quiet sense of humor. Though naturally reserved, she treasured her close-knit family and a small circle of friends who meant the world to her.

In her younger years, Suzy enjoyed playing softball. In recent years, she found friendship and joy through her Burleson line dancing group. She loved baking, reading, collecting Beanie Babies, neon bar lights, and other unique collectibles, playing games on her phone, and enjoying her many trips to the casino. A devoted animal lover, Suzy gave many dogs loving homes and wonderful lives.

Suzy was preceded in death by her father, Stan Braun Sr.; her mother, Claire Braun/Worthy; and her husband, Ronald Kirsch.

She is survived by her brother, Rick Braun of Panama City Beach, Florida; her brother, Stan Braun and his wife, Donna, of Southlake, Texas; her sister, Tracy Pederson and her husband, Leo, of Highland Village, Texas; five nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and great-nephews; extended family members; and many dear friends who will miss her greatly.
