In Loving Memory of

Sione Leo Foliaki

October 3, 1947 – September 21, 2026

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Sione Leo Foliaki, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Sione was born on October 3, 1947, in Ha’apai, Tonga, to Manutu’ufanga and Uate Foliaki. He carried his Tongan heritage, faith, and traditions throughout his life and passed those values on to his family.

He was a devoted husband to Ofa Ki Funga Sia Fifita. Married on September 27, 1972, they shared 54 years of love, faith, sacrifice, and commitment. Together, they have four children:

Carolyn (Sailosi) Faletau, Uate Foliaki, Lesili (Beatrice) Foliaki, and Fipe (Tevita) Uhatafe

Sione was a proud grandfather to Pensimani, Vaimata, Charlotte, Manutu’ufanga, Lucia, Johnmikal, Kailee, Jeremiah, Sione, Rejoice, Victory, Mauhau, Lesili, and Shae, and a great-grandfather to Seti, Levaite, Uate Faletau, Anau, Charlie, Sailosi, and Elizabeth Wight.

He was one of eleven siblings: Tina Sisifa Riechelmann, Lesili ’Eni Foliaki, ’Elisapeti Foliaki Kioa, Lita Edwards, Pilisita Makaafi, Ana Scully, Lusia Pua Lemoto, Sesilia Foliaki, Enisi Bradley, and Corrina Niumeitolu.

Sione was a hardworking man who devoted his life to caring for and providing for his family. He taught us to be strong, work hard, care for one another, and live by faith. His love was shown through his actions and sacrifices.

A devoted Catholic and faithful parishioner of St. Michael Catholic Church, Sione found strength in his faith and shared it with his family.

We will miss Dad’s presence, guidance, protection, and love. We will miss having him with us at home and family gatherings. Most of all, we will miss the man who always made sure we were cared for.

We will remember his sacrifices, hard work, faith, and devotion to family. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Dad, thank you for giving us your love, faith, strength, and guidance. You gave us roots, a family, and a legacy we will carry forever.

Although our hearts are broken, we are grateful that you were ours. We will carry your name, teachings, faith, and love with us always.

Rest peacefully, Dad. Your work here is done.

You will always be loved, always be missed, and never forgotten.
