Sara Stickles

SARA BETH STICKLES, formally of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 in Richland Hills, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and a caring grandmother. She was born on August 25, 1947 in Seymour, Indiana to Nelson (Johnny) & Marjorie Loyd. Sara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to ball games, cross-stitching, and watching NASCAR and animal programs particularly Dr. Pol. Sara is survived by her brother Roger Loyd and his wife Debbie, daughter Carrie & Paul Taskey (Hohnstreiter), son John Adam Hohnstreiter, stepdaughters Susie & Pat Meyers and Amy Hatton, grandchildren John D.R. & Joshua Hohnstreiter, Abbey & Katie Meyers, Daniel & Nick, & Andrew & Brandon Taskey, and 6 great-grandchildren along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husbands John D. Hohnstreiter (1981) & Owen Stickles II (2010) and by both parents.
A visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas. A Celebration of Life & Interment will be planned at a later date in Seymour, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the donor’s choice.
