Sandra "Sandy" Monroe, 78, passed away suddenly in the comfort of her home Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Service: According to her wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, you may donate in her name to her favorite charity, Wounded Warriors, or your local Humane Society. Sandy was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and throughout her life resided primarily in Redford, Mich.; Sterling Heights, Mich.; Smithfield, Va.; Sanford, Mich.; and Fort Worth. For the last three years she and her loving cat-companion, Ernie, had the joy of sharing an apartment with her dear sister. Sandy graduated from Redford High School in 1955 and in 1978, graduated from Macomb Community College with her LPN, which led to her working at Crittenton Hospital. Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Eloise Warwick; sister, Patricia Schram; and husband, Garth Monroe. Survivors: Sister, Karen Madden of Fort Worth; son, Timothy Hamann (Robin) of Sanford, Mich.; daughter, Susan Hamann (Steve Madden) of Fort Worth; son-like nephew, Gary "Rocky" Vos (Wendy) of Auburndale, Fla.; six loving grandchildren; three adorable great-granddaughters; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
