Sandra Lee Mischnick

Sandra “Sandy” Lee Mischnick, 81, died on Thursday November 13, 2025, in Euless, TX. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 24, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Bedford, TX. Sandy was born on July 21, 1944 in Wausau, WI, the daughter of Forrest and Ruth (Witz) Fink. She married John “Jack” Mischnick on February 1, 1964 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Knowlton, WI.

Sandy was a loving wife to Jack, a caring mother of four, a doting grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of two. Sandy was involved in all aspects of her children’s activities serving on boards of youth sports organizations, performing team mom duties, and anything that was needed to support their endeavors. Sandy was known for her loud, infectious laugh and the way she built community everywhere she lived. She brought people together with her warmth, humor, and unwavering love. Sandy served all of the communities she lived including Rochester, MN, Dunwoody, GA, Austin, TX, Danbury, CT, Hollister, CA, Round Rock, TX and Euless, TX. Sandy loved to quilt and spent hours making bedspreads and blankets for her family and friends and gave many away to organizations in need. Sandy’s love was felt by all, with thirteen siblings and other family members spread across the country, Sandy cherished traveling to visit all of them.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Jack; two daughters, Marcia (Bobby) Rucker of Edmond, OK, Maria (Paul) Duckworth of Hurst, TX; and two sons, Scott (Robyn Short) Mischnick of Westcliffe, CO, and Kevin (Amber) Mischnick of Austin, TX. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Sarah Mischnick of Arlington, TX, Will Mischnick of Arlington, TX, Madison (Andrew) Schnitker of Cedar Park, TX, Brayden Rucker of Oklahoma City, OK, Bailey Rucker of Austin, TX, Lexi Mischnick of Brooklyn, NY, Jack Mischnick of Los Angeles, CA, Marcus Duckworth of Hurst, TX, Maya Duckworth of Hurst, TX and Maddie Duckworth of Hurst, TX and two great grandchildren, Lila and Walker Schnitker of Cedar Park, TX.

Sandy is further survived by two brothers and four sisters, Rodney Fink, Dick (Trudy) Fink, Beulah (Jerome) Hahn, Pat (Jim) Luther, Sharon Beulow, Carol Lutz, and two brothers-in-law Dale Waterloo, Jerry (Nancy) Mischnick and sister-in-law Mary (Ken) Kline. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Thomas Fink, Orville Fink, Eugene Fink and Jesse Fink; three sisters, Venenda Lube, Betty Schultz, Joan Wilkins; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Waterloo, Elaine Fink, Eileen Fink, and brothers-in-law, Jim Wilkins, Otto Schultz, and Neil Lube.

The family requests in lieu of flowers to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) in Sandy’s name.

Visitation/Rosary Prayer Service: 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, TX
