Rudy Valladares, of Midlothian, Texas, passed away on July 4, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 30 following a two-year battle with testicular cancer.
Rudy was born on October 11, 1995, to Marco and Margarita Valladares. He dedicated his career to serving his community as a police officer and later as a detective. To those who knew him, Rudy was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend with a quiet nature, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family.
He enjoyed fishing, playing video games, watching and playing sports, and spending time with his family. He was naturally curious, always interested in learning something new, and found purpose in sharing his story to help others feel less alone.
More than anything, Rudy loved his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica Valladares; sons, Benjamin and Luke Valladares; parents, Marco G. and Margarita Valladares; brother, Marco A. Valladares, and his wife, Sarah, and their daughter, Zelda; Grandmothers Rosie Valladares and Marcola Lebron; parents-in-law, Lawrence and Deirdre Dykes; brother-in-law, Isaac Dykes, and his wife, Taylor, and their children, Tayton, Chanler, and Rowan; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues.
A funeral service celebrating Rudy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76053, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation in Rudy's honor.
