Oct 19, 1946 — Jul 6, 2026

Ronnie Joe Easter, Sr., 79, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026.

Born on October 19, 1946, in Cushing, Oklahoma, Ronnie lived a life defined by hard work, unwavering devotion to his family, and a deep sense of patriotism. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In recognition of his courageous and honorable service, Ronnie was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, an honor that reflected his dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to his fellow soldiers. His military service remained a source of great pride throughout his life.

On May 2, 1967, Ronnie married the love of his life, Francis Kaye Tilley, in Comanche, Oklahoma. Together they built a loving home and shared nearly six decades of marriage, raising five children and creating a legacy rooted in love, perseverance, and family.

Ronnie firmly believed that it is never too late to pursue your dreams. While raising five children, he returned to school, attending Oklahoma Community College and later graduating from Metro Tech Aviation Career Center. Through determination and hard work, he began a successful career as an aircraft mechanic with American Airlines, proving to his children and grandchildren that dedication and perseverance can make any goal attainable.

A man of many interests, Ronnie enjoyed woodworking, racing, golfing, camping, skiing, and was a firearms enthusiast. In his later years, he became an avid video gamer, embracing new hobbies with the same enthusiasm he brought to every stage of life. Above all, he treasured spending time with his family—especially pestering his grandchildren, winning card games, and creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

Ronnie was a proud member of the Transport Workers Union Local 567.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Tammy Gillespie; his parents, Loral Larue Canfield and Claude Wilbur Dulany; and his four brothers, Edward Easter, Daryl Easter, Sydney Dulany, and Gary Dulany.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Francis Kaye Easter of Roanoke; his son, Ronnie Easter and wife, Denice, of Marshall; his son, Christopher Easter and wife, Christi, of Decatur; his daughters, Kimberly Davis and husband, Chip, of Bowie, and Holly Kelley and husband, Travis, of Highland Village. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: John, Tina, Jessie, Clarissa, Cameron, Ana, Christopher, Jasmine, Alyssa, Hannah, Terra, Shelby, Lane, Levi, Raife, and Jessup; his beloved great-grandchildren: Jayden, Ella, Liam, Elena, Randall, Jett, Jax, Emiree, Maverick, Ava, and Braylee; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Ronnie's greatest joy was his family. He loved deeply and devoted himself to being a faithful husband, a proud father, and an adoring grandfather and great-grandfather. His life was marked by service, resilience, laughter, and unconditional love. Whether he was building something with his hands, teaching through his example, sharing stories around a campfire, or playfully giving his grandchildren a hard time, Ronnie made every moment count.

His steadfast work ethic, generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering love for those closest to him will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him. He will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of his family and friends.
