Ronald Dean Parrish

December 15, 1946 — June 11, 2025

Haltom City

It is with great sorrow, we announce the passing of our devoted husband, father, and PaPa; Ronald Dean Parrish.

Ronnie was born December 15th,1946, to Benjamin and Wilma Parrish in Tyler, Texas. The family eventually moved and settled on Minnie Street in Haltom City, Texas. Ronnie attended school in Halton City and graduated as a Buffalo from Haltom High School in 1965. He was an active member of the ROTC unit and attended competitions throughout Lousiana and Texas.

Ronnie enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1966. Serving as a mechanic and crew chief on bombers supporting operations in Vietnam and the nuclear deterence flights in the cold war operations. During his time on leave in Texas, he was introduced to his stunning bride to be, Eura, via a blind date. Always the romantic Ronnie showered her with two letters and one phone call in the next year (LOL). After his discharge in 1970, Ronnie knew he had to convince Eura he was worth the chance and succeed he did. They were married in May 1970 and began a 55-year love affair.

Ronnie found his passion as a police officer in Hurst, Texas. Having served for over 30 years as a Seargent, he retired and continued his work in law enforcement as a Tarrant County Sherrif's deputy after his retirement.

Ronnie loved being a peace officer and served his community with pride.

In addition, he supported his kids and those around them by coaching baseball, as a leader in scouts, and supported Eura in her various PTA positions. No matter the lack of sleep or the odd hours he needed to work, he always ensured his family came first.

Along with Eura, Ronnie raised a wonderful family and set an example of love and support.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eura, Son Wayne (Jamie) and Daughter Wendy; Grandkids Desiary (Kevin), Benjamin, Emily (Brenda) and Destiny (Teri); Brother Billy (Mary) and Sister Jo Ann; four Great Grandchildren; and loving nieces/nephews and extended family.

Proceeded in death by his parents Benjamin and Wilma Parrish.

Ronnie spent his entire life exemplifying hard work, dedication to his family, and being a friend to everyone he met.
