Funeral services for Ronald Floyd Rhodes, 83, of Haslet, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Ronald passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, in Grapevine. He was born October 26, 1942, to William and Mamie Rhodes in Springfield, Louisiana.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, a service he carried with great pride throughout his life. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed riding his Goldwing and camping in his RV. For Ronald, being outside was always better when it was shared with good company.
He also had a special appreciation for a good breakfast and enjoyed gathering with his friends from his men's group, affectionately known as “ROMEO”—Retired Old Men Eating Out. These times of fellowship, laughter, and friendship were among the many things that brought him joy.
Above all, Ron was a devoted family man. He took great pride in caring for his loving wife, Brenda, and treasured every opportunity to spend quality time with his family. His love, loyalty, humor, and generous spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
Those left behind to cherish Ron's memory include his daughter-in-love, Peggy Rhodes; grandchildren, Jared Anderson and wife Amber, Jamie Cain and husband Conrad, Colin Rhodes, and Cameron Rhodes and wife Baylee; great-grandchildren, Ethan Cain, Evan Anderson, Lacey Cain, Lyla Anderson, Ava Anderson, and Harlow Rhodes; and his brother, Duane Rhodus.
Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda; daughter, Rhonda Rhodes Anderson; son, Kevin Rhodes; and siblings, Dorothy Farris, Wendell Rhodus, and Gordon Rhodus.
Though Ron will be deeply missed, his memory will live on through the family he loved, the friendships he treasured, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey.
