Robi Jane Miears

Robi Jane Miears, 71 of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at her residence in the presence of her current husband. She was born in Fort Benning, GA on June 25, 1955.

Robi was born into the military lifestyle from which her father retired. Earning a tremendous respect for our military and this Country. Her first jobs were in the Hotel Hospitality field. She then graced the airlines, where she perfected everlasting people skills as a gate agent for Pacific Southwest Airlines in Los Angeles. Her life then brought her to DFW where she cleaned airplanes for US Airways until transferring to the loading dock. During this period, she graduated from The Institute of Massage Therapy where she met her soon to be "current" husband. She then received her Masters of Oriental Medicine specializing in acupuncture. Her career at American began in 2005 and the Credit Union in 2007. She wisely moved to the Solution Center in 2010 and became the Manager in 2016.

Robi will be remembered for her beautiful smile, quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. She was a devoted reader with a miraculous vocabulary. She was known for incredible baking, especially her famous peanut butter chocolate cake and her diaper cakes as well. She had a keen knowledge of medicine and anything she took an interest in.

Robi genuinely cared about people. She was an extremely devoted dog mom, exceptional leader, trusted friend, a truly kind person. Robi was a very caring, thoughtful and obviously dedicated wife. She made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by sisters Terry McCord and Toni, her Parents Robert and Nancy McCord, Lucy Brandy, Dixie, Dexter, Tillie, Freddie, and Murphy. She is survived by nephew Corey, son Joshua and her current husband Jim.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, July 31, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, Hurst, Texas with Pastor Miles Miears officiating.

A reception will follow the service at Lucas Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
