Robert "Bob" Scribner passed on June 25, 2026, at the age of 77. He was born on May 22, 1949, in McKinney, Texas. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Family was always at the center of his life.
He spent 55 years of his life with Therese, the love of his life. When illness entered their lives more than two decades ago, Bob simply did what needed to be done. He wasn't a caregiver by nature, but love has a way of asking us to become what someone else needs. For more than two decades, he devoted himself to caring for the woman he loved—a quiet act of faithfulness that spoke more clearly than words ever could.
Bob was the kind of father his sons could always count on. Whether they needed advice, support, or simply someone to call, he was there. He was generous with his time, dependable, and always willing to put his family first.
He is survived by his wife, Therese Scribner; his sons, Aaron Scribner (Wonwarang) and Trent Scribner (Magen); his grandchildren, Anya, Rylynn, and Emmi; his sister, Judy Long; and his nephew, Keith Long (BJ). He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Leland Scribner.
Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was happiest on the golf course or surrounded by the people he loved.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady presence, and the love and care he showed to his family every day.
