Robert Autry Ayres, resident of Alba, Texas and formerly of Burleson, Texas passed away on May 12th. 2026 at U.T. Health in Quitman, Texas at the age of 83 years old. Robert Autry Ayres was born on June 2nd. 1942 in Tulsa Oklahoma. He was the oldest of four boys. Graduated from W W Samuell High School in Pleasant Grove, Dallas, He enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Saratoga until 1968. He was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone and Retired from AT&T. He loved his Family, his friends and was a very Avid fisherman and often produced his own fishing lures. He was a member of the Fort Worth Police Officers Bass Club and even ranked 2nd. In one of finest years as an Angler.
His family Survivors are as listed, His son Robert Cristopher Ayres, His brother Jerry and his wife Janice Ayres, His brother Lloyd and his wife Sandy Ayres, His brother Neal and his wife Marge Ayres. Not to mention numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by His wife Wilma Ayres, His mother and father Kimmie and Burtis Ayres, His Nephews Jason and Asa Ayres.
Robert Autry Ayres's Funeral viewing will be held at Lucas and Blessings Funeral Home on May 22nd. 2026, time will be at 11 a.m. the address is 518 S.W. Johnson Ave. Burleson, Texas 76028, a service to be held at 12 noon. Graveside service and burial will be held on the same day, May 22nd. at 2 p.m. Location for the burial will be at Laurel Land address is 7100 Crowley road Fort Worth, 76134.
