Richard Henry Lehmann, 94, of Fort Worth, passed away April 5, 2026. He was born December 23, 1931, in Greenwood County, Kansas, to Oscar and Ethel Richards Lehmann.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Richard was an avid wrestling fan who found great joy in the outdoors and had a deep love for animals. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his Cherokee heritage. A proud veteran, Richard served honorably in the United States Air Force for 26 years, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. He also shared a special bond with his beloved chihuahua, Lucy.
He is survived by his daughters, Lori Gwartney and husband John, and Vicki Carney and husband Rick; 2 grandson, 3 granddaughters and respective spouses along with 7 great grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Dorothy Lehmann; and three sisters.
He had a big heart, was easy going, giving, caring, loving, and an empathetic man who strived to do right by everyone.
He could turn a serious moment into a joyful one and was quick witted with a joke at just the right times. The world needs more people like him.
