Richard Wesley English, 59, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away on August 4, 2025. He was born on June 4, 1966, in Dallas, Texas.
Richard was known for his boundless generosity and his mischievous, good-natured prankster side. He often caught friends and family off guard with a playful joke, a harmless trick, or a sly grin that gave him away. This was his way of bringing joy, creating memories, and reminding people not to take life too seriously. Whether it was family, a lifelong friend, or even someone he had just met, he never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His humor, warmth, and selflessness left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
For 24 years, Richard shared a devoted marriage with his wife, Valerie, and together they raised their daughter, Samantha—a constant source of pride and joy in his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Buddy English; his sister, Robbie English; and his brother, Jerry English. Their absence was a quiet ache he carried always, yet Richard honored their memory by living with an open heart—pouring his love, care, and kindness into the lives of those around him.
A passionate dirt track racing enthusiast, Richard traveled far and wide to hear the roar of engines and feel the thrill of competition. More than a hobby, it was a joy that connected him deeply with others who shared his passion.
To those who knew him best, Richard was far more than a husband or father—he was a devoted son, uncle, cousin, friend, and so much more. His presence filled every room with laughter and the occasional playful prank. He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for the warmth and joy he brought into the lives of others.
May his memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew and loved him.
