Richard Biggar, age 88, of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2026, in Euless, Texas, following a brief illness.Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Connie Biggar, as well as his parents, Foley and Michael Biggar. He is survived by his daughter, Michele (Don) Audas; his son, Brad (Tracy) Biggar; his grandsons, Drew Audas and Jake Biggar; his granddaughter, Shelby (Mac) Tovey; and his great-grandson, Ethan Tovey.Richard was born on March 10, 1938, in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Hillcrest High School and went on to attend Arlington State College, where he studied commercial art. Following his education, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, Richard met a stewardess in Dallas who would become the love of his life. They married in 1959 and shared more than six decades of marriage, travel, and adventure. His early career in the aviation industry led him to own and operate several aircraft instrument shops at Dallas Love Field and Addison Airport. Later, he transitioned into the construction industry, where he worked until his retirement. A longtime resident of Grapevine and North Richland Hills, Richard was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller.Richard and Connie shared a passion for travel and a love of adventure. They enjoyed riding motorcycles together, camping, and exploring new places. Richard had a particular love for hunting and cherished the time he spent outdoors with friends. The campfires, tall tales, and camaraderie brought him some of his greatest joy. Richard will be remembered for his sense of humor, and his legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, March 27, at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Richard’s memory to the American Stroke Association.
