Raul Flores

May 17, 1943 — Aug 29, 2026

Raul Flores passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026 with his family by his side. He was 93 years old. Raul was born on May 17, 1933, in Tamaulipas, Mexico, and soon thereafter moved back to Abram, Texas, where he grew up, married, and started a family. He later moved to Dallas, where he spent most of his life alongside his family. Raul held many titles: Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Son, Brother, and Friend.

In his younger years, he served our country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. During this time, he married his late wife, Raquel V. Flores, with whom he was married for 55 years. He was survived by his children and grandchildren: Yvette Chowdhury (Nazmul Chowdhury), Yolanda Flores (Hilario Leija), Shawon Chowdhury (Caitlin Chowdhury), Jasmine Chowdhury (Julio Pacheco), Yvena Chowdhury (Elijah Barney), Landen Leija, Giuseppe Pacheco, Enzo Barney, Giancarlo Pacheco, and Ekhais Barney.

Raul made many memories and shared significant moments with his family. He loved fishing, dancing, singing, storytelling, and listening to the radio. In addition to these many hobbies, he had a gift for putting together unexpected ingredients to make delicious meals. He loved his family, took great care of all of his grandchildren, and spent quality time with his great-grandchildren.

Most of all, Raul was a devout Catholic who never missed a chance to send every family member off with a blessing. Raul Flores will be greatly missed by all those who loved him, but he will live on through the memories and stories he passed down through the years.

Raul Flores was preceded in death by his loving wife, Raquel V. Flores; Cristobal Flores (Father); Beatriz R. Flores (Mother); Socorro F. Ledesma (Sister); Reynaldo Flores (Brother); and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
