Phillip Douglas Little went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2026, one day after his 66th birthday. He was born on February 5, 1960, in Denver, Colorado, to C. David and D. Elaine Little. Phillip fought courageously and with determination to defeat his diagnosis, but the disease spread and was unrelenting to the very end.
Phillip grew up in Boulder, Colorado, where he attended Boulder High School and graduated in 1978. After high school, he continued his education at the University of Northern Colorado.
On June 29, 1980, Phillip married his high school sweetheart, Christine Hoedel, affectionately known as Tina. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, hard work, and adventure. They were blessed with a son, Bion Robert Little, born on December 6, 1996, who remained Phillip’s greatest source of pride.
Phillip began his career at Sturgeon Electric before moving to Public Service Company of Colorado (now Xcel Energy). While there he completed a four-year apprenticeship and was a journeyman pipefitter for sixteen years. A gifted builder with a natural talent for construction, Phillip spent years honing his craft through side projects before courageously stepping away from his full-time position to pursue his dream. He founded Phillips Custom Construction, where he distinguished himself as a developer and builder of fine homes, leaving behind a legacy of quality, integrity, and craftsmanship. Phillip, Tina and Bion moved from Colorado to Flower Mound, TX in 2011 where he continued his passion of providing quality remodeling and building services.
Phillip and Tina shared a deep love of travel, adventure, and cruising, first as a couple, and then as a family. Numerous lasting and cherished memories were made while on these trips. Some of their favorite destinations were the Yucatan Peninsula any island in the Caribbean, Europe and Iceland.
Phillip also had an unmistakable passion for speed and performance. He loved fast cars and motorcycles, finding joy in pushing the machines to their limits. At home, Phillip found peace in his beautiful yard, relaxing by his pool, and spending time with his family.
A man of deep faith, Phillip believed firmly that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior. He lived his faith through kindness, generosity, and a willingness to help anyone in need. He never met a stranger and was known for his warm smile, magnetic personality, and open heart.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife, Tina; his son, Bion; his mother, D. Elaine Little; his brother, Jeff Little; and numerous nieces and nephews. Of all his accomplishments, Phillip was most proud of his family and the life he built with Tina.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
