Patrick Christopher Patten, born on March 8, 1977, in Arlington, Texas, went home to live with the Lord on July 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and best friend.
He was preceded in death and welcomed into heaven by his loving grandparents, Mary Jo (Memaw) and Richard Patten (Papaw), and Peggy (Gran) and Jack Willoughby (Papaw); his great-grandparents, Mae (Grandmother) and Barney DeVaney (Granddaddy); his Uncle Tim; and his devoted stepfather, Mike Davis.
Patrick lived a vibrant and purpose-filled life as a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie; his children, Christopher, Kaylee, Brendan, and Aiden; his loyal dogs, Oliver and Piper; his brother, Joey; his parents, Kathy and Chris; and his stepfather, Rod Finch.
A proud fan through and through, Patrick was passionate about TCU football and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved nothing more than cheering on his teams—especially from the stands at TCU games. He was also a lifelong Metallica fan, attending nearly every one of their concerts in the DFW area from the 1990s through the 2000s.
In his earlier professional life, Patrick worked as a billboard crew chief, helping to shape the skyline across the DFW area—something he took great pride in.
Patrick’s deep and unwavering faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of his life. It guided and sustained him through life’s many challenges, especially in his final years.
His humor, resilience, and deep love for his family will remain a lasting legacy. To know Patrick was to witness true devotion—in his faith, in his work, and in every role he held.
A celebration of Patrick’s life will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, TX, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The viewing will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM. All who knew and loved him are welcome.
