Patricia Mary Umphenour

Patricia M. Umphenour, 87, passed away peacefully on 23 June 2026 in Burleson, Texas.

She was born on February 8,1939 in Glendale, California to Helen Potter. Patricia was lovingly raised by her grandmother Lilian and aunt Dorothy. In 1957, she graduated from Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, California. She married the love of her life, Jesse H. Umphenour, 1961 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They were happily and lovingly married for 58 years. She dedicated herself as a Navy wife during her husband’s 23 years of service and raised their young family around the Pacific Ocean. After settling back in California, she worked as a Special Education School Teacher for the Los Angeles County Office of Education. Patricia enjoyed craft projects, murder mysteries, spending time with her family, and devoted herself to her Catholic faith.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, grandmother, aunts, and mom. Patricia is survived by her four sons Jess (Lidija), Michael, David (Leva), and Bob (Jennifer); her six grandchildren Ashley (Nick), Nicole (Stephen), Christopher, Sean (Liz), Jonathan (Kylie), and Alexander; and friends in California and St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

A rosary and funeral mass will be held at 9:30 am, July 25, 2026, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Burleson, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to City of Hope, Cancer Hospitals or the Paralyzed Veterans of America. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Heritage Place, St. Ann’s Catholic Church, and Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home.
