Patricia Gail Smith

Patricia Gail Smith nèe Valentine, resident of Burleson, TX, formerly of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on July 15th, 2025 at her residence at the age of 74 years.

She was born on April 9th, 1951 in Fort Worth, TX. Gail was crafty, and taught herself to sew and crochet, as well as other hobbies, resulting in many handmade gifts.

She worked for banks for 7+ years in Denton, TX, and for the Texas Department of Public Safety for 10 1/2 years in Lewisville, Hurst and Lake Worth as well as many other jobs before finally retiring in 2010. During this time, she raised three-and-one-half beautiful children, and was a loving aunt to her nieces & nephews. She was a great lover of animals, and enjoyed reading, puzzles, and road trips.

She is survived by her husband, Alan McCarter Smith; her children, Wendi Caryl Lightfoot, and Aaron Richard Lightfoot; grandchildren, Amanda Gail Taylor nèe Ward; great-grandchildren, Marcus Truman Taylor; sister, Kathy Valentine; and other beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Valentine, her father, Dennis Valentine, and her brother, Jerry Valentine.
