Pat LeRoy
Winn
Feb 14, 1938 — Oct 10, 2026
Pat LeRoy Winn, 88, passed away on October 10, 2026 in Burleson, TX. Born February 14, 1938 in Muskogee, OK, to Walter and Janie (Gwinn) Winn. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Beulah (Lusk) Winn; and his sisters Glenna Winn, and Phyllis (Winn) Bowles. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kaye (Black) Winn; son Del Winn; daughter Kelly Ramirez (Santiago); son Vince Winn (Pamela); 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pat was passionate about missions and helping others. He participated in approximately 30 mission trips, predominately in Mexico and Central America, but also in Africa and Europe. He was also very involved with Teen Challenge - St. Louis, serving and supporting the organization with his time and resources. Most of his life, wherever he lived, he was active in his local Assembly of God church singing, teaching Sunday School, getting others involved in mission work, serving on the board, and raising his family to love Jesus.
Pat was a "grease monkey" all his life. He had an incredible ability to understand most all things mechanical, especially if he could touch it and take it apart! He loved old MOPAR cars. He rebuilt several over the years; two from the ground up. His pride and joy was his 1956 Plymouth Belvedere, which took top honors at numerous shows, including national competitions. He and Sharon owned this same year and model of car when they got married, which gave this car a special place in their lives.Pat graduated from Will Rogers High School (Class of 1957) in Tulsa, OK. Pat served as an aircraft flight mechanic in the Air Force from 1958-62. He married his wife, Sharon, in 1959. Pat held several jobs after the Air Force. He eventually took a job with IBM repairing typewriters in Tulsa, OK. His job moved the family to the St. Louis, MO area in 1973. He retired from IBM as a Customer Service Manager after more than 25 years. After retirement from IBM, he worked as a contractor for Phoenix Textile during which he traveled the U.S. doing installation work in healthcare and hospitality facilities. It was about this same time that he invested in residential rental properties, which gave him another outlet for his creative, mechanical abilities as he repaired and remodeled properties. Pat received his Bachelor's degree from St. Louis University in 1980.
More important than any of these things were his faith in Christ, and his family, but especially the love of his life, Sharon.
