Pamala Kaye Norman Rayburne, 81, died Friday, 7/18/2025,peacefully at home in Ft. worth, surrounded by her family. 

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Col. Michael Hanks Rayburne.

Pam was born on January 11, 1944, to Charlie and Josephine Norman in Ft. Worth, Texas. She graduated from Polytechnic High school, class of 1961. Pam was a majorette and played the obo in the concert band. She also played piano and the organ.

Pam attended the University of Texas at Arlington until 1964. During her time there, she was a member of the bowling team, Student Government, Rodeo Team and Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

She married Michael H. Rayburne on June 4, 1966, right before Michael got his commission into the USAF. The first stop on their adventure together was Webb AFB in Big Spring, Tx, followed by Beal AFB, California.

Pam and Michael moved back to Ft. Worth where she started her career in Real estate. After a nearly 50-year multistate career i Real estate, she retired in 2023. During this same time, she taught keyboarding at the Key School in Ft. Worth for nearly 30 years.

She was very active in the Officers Wives club and with the Women’s Club of Ft. Worth, where she held several offices and served on several committees.

1996 saw Pam and Michael attend “spy school” for the Air Force. Pam graduated at the top of her class, where she was a J turn specialist.

In 2023, she started her next adventure, helping her son Chris and his family run their pizza restaurant until it closed in 2025. Pam enjoyed making pizzas and talking to all the customers that came into the shop.

Pam is survived by her two sons, Michael H. Rayburne II (Sara) of Burleson, TX and Chris N. Rayburne (Miki) of Crowley, TX. Shehas seven grandchildren – Kaitlin, Michael, Samantha, Cole,Cassidy, Nicholas and Casey.
