Nau Tongi (Alofaki) Folau, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on April 27, 2026. She was surrounded by loved ones at her home in Euless, Texas.
She was born on May 17, 1937, in Haʻakio, Vavaʻu, Tonga, to her parents, Tevita and Palu Alofaki, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Petesiola Finau, Mele Hafoka, and Ana Mafoa, and her brother, Vaea Mahina.
Nau is survived by her loving husband, Siosaia Folau, and her adoring children: Tausinga Folau (Manusiu), Sione Folau (Dorothy), Sitelimani Folau (Seini), Langileo Tupou (Sesita), Epalahame Folau (Sia), Hopoate Folau (Milemoti), Siope Folau (Noelani), Melevesi Folau, and Moana Lama (Dawa). She was a proud and cherished grandmother to 36 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.
A devoted homemaker, Nau dedicated her life to caring for her family with unwavering love and strength. Her home was a place of warmth, faith, and togetherness. She faithfully served the Lord throughout her life in many callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including as President of the Primary and Relief Society. Alongside her husband, she also served two missions in Tonga while raising her growing family, a testament to her deep faith and commitment.
Nau found joy in singing, dancing, and dressing beautifully. She carried herself with grace, kindness, and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew her. Her steadfast faith in God guided her life, and she trusted in Him in all that she did.
Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Euless, Texas, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calloway Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
Nau’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
