It is with aching hearts and eternal love that we announce the passing of Myranda Jade Branch, our beloved daughter, mother, granddaughter, wife, sister, cousin, and friend, who left this world far too soon on June 5, 2025, at the age of 31.
Myranda was a bright flame in this world, full of spirit, wonder, and warmth. She approached life with a spark of curiosity and a love for adventure, whether it was a spontaneous road trip or the beauty of an ordinary day spent with family and friends. Her joy was genuine. Her laugh could change the whole energy of a room. She found magic in the everyday — in music, in nature, in people — and invited others to see it too.
Her heart was as vast as the sky. Myranda gave of herself freely and fiercely. Whether you were family, friend, or stranger, she welcomed you with the kind of love that felt like home. She had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and safe. Her radiant light left an unforgettable mark on anyone who knew her.
Myranda’s most tremendous pride and joy were her two sons, Leo (12) and Kai (4). She loves them with everything in her. She was tender, protective, playful, and attentive — the kind of mother who knelt to their level and truly listened, sharing her sense of wonder and adventure with them. Her love lives on in them, bright and unshakable.
She is survived by her two precious sons, Leo and Kai Mali; her husband, Sajaan Mali; her mother, LeaAnn Branch; her Father, Rodney Thomas; and her bonus father, Norman Young. Her brother, Markus Young, and half-brothers, Israel and Isaiah Thomas. Her grandmothers, Deborah Branch and Jane Thomas-Carothers, her Aunt, Christina Branch, and her cousins, Makayla James and Matthew Holloway. Her in-laws, Sujata Mali and Sagar Mali, and brother-in-law Anjaan Mali, along with an extremely loving extended family, and a community of friends whose lives were made brighter by her light.
A day of celebrating Myranda’s Life and spirit will be held on Sunday, June 29th at Grapevine Lake - Details to follow soon.
She was Joy. She was Love. She was ours. And though she is no longer here in body, her presence surrounds us — in sunlight, in laughter, in every act of kindness done in her name.
