Michael Roy Edwards of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2026. He will always be remembered for his positivity and sunny outlook on life. He was a devoted and loving father who consistently placed his family above all else. He had the remarkable ability to make anyone he encountered feel at ease, as though they had known him for years, with warmth and sincerity that left a lasting impression on all who met him.

 Michael was born on September 15, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Roy Alden Edwards and Florence Marie Cremer. He graduated from Trimble Tech High School in 1970. Upon completion of High school, He served for four years in the United States Army. He was extremely proud of his military service.

He dedicated his life to a distinguished career in the restaurant industry. Beginning at the age of 14 as a grill cook for McDonald’s, he steadily advanced through hard work and determination, ultimately serving as a manager and supervisor over multiple locations. He later joined Grandy’s, where he served as a General Manager before rising to the position of Vice President of Operations, a role he held for 13 years. Following this, he returned to McDonald’s as a franchise consultant. He will be remembered for his relentless work ethic and unwavering commitment to his profession.

Michael is survived by his two sons, Gregory Michael Edwards of Fort Worth, Texas, and Clinton Hewitt Edwards, also of Fort Worth, Texas; his brother, Terry Edwards of Arlington, Texas; his two nieces, Donna and Kelly; and his stepson, Eric Grant of California.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Guinevere Edwards.

He will be laid to rest at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date to be determined.
