Melanie Leann Charlene Jordan January 14, 1990 – October 21, 2024
Born in Sherman, Texas, to her loving parents Adriana Dunn and Lee Odis Jordan, Melanie was a radiant spirit whose life was marked by creativity, love, and resilience. From a young age, she held a deep love for art and music, nurturing her entrepreneurial spirit with countless ideas. Yet, above all else, her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved children: Nylah Deann Evans, age 13, and Daniel Deshawn Evans II, age 11.
While Melanie dreamed of becoming a veterinarian due to her love for animals, life led her toward another path of care and compassion. She completed her CNA certification as a Medical Assistant, dedicating herself to helping others with the same warmth and kindness she brought into her personal life.
A devoted advocate in the fight against breast cancer, Melanie was determined to make a difference. Though she courageously battled the disease, her optimism, faith, and unwavering trust in God inspired all who knew her. She had even registered to participate in her first breast cancer walk—a commitment cut short only by her passing.
Melanie is survived by her loving family, including her mother and stepfather, Adriana and Abdiel Dunn; her father and stepmother, Lee Jordan and Jamie Wagoner; her brothers, Dominick Dunn, Devyn Jackson, and Daniel Jackson; her cherished grandmother, Gloria Santos; her aunts, Belinda Cross, Toni Jordan, Marcela Torres; and her uncles, Edgar Guevara, Sergio Ladron de Guevara. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, strength, and faith.
A celebration of Melanie’s life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel in Hurst.
Her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, reflects her spirit: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
