Mary Kathryn "Kathy" King, 68, passed away on May 4, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on November 13, 1956, in Bedford, Texas. Kathy lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and deep devotion to her family.
Kathy was known for her charismatic personality and infectious sense of humor. Her love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life; from dressing up in silly costumes to match her grandchildren on Halloween to selecting fun and unique gifts tailored to each child. Whether she was cracking jokes with her children or simply enjoying a quiet moment reading a book, Kathy brought joy and light to those around her.
She is survived by her daughter Nicole and husband Brett; stepsons Brian, Matt and wife Maegan, and Andrew; as well as eight beloved grandchildren: Graham, Dylan, Ivory, Riley, Jasmine, Noah, Charlee, and Savanna. Kathy also leaves behind four sisters and one brother who will cherish her memory.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Cooper; father Jay Bojorquez; mother Betty Bojorquez; and sister Rebekah Shipley.
A proud Texan through and through, Kathy had a special place in her heart for the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed cheering them on during football season and sharing that passion with those close to her. Her legacy lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the stories shared among siblings and friends, and the countless memories made over years of love and togetherness.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM at Lucas Funeral Home 1601 S Main St Keller TX
