Mark Edward Wood, born January 29, 1962, in Tacoma, Washington, passed away on July 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, strength, and unwavering love.
A proud United States Marine, Mark dedicated 21 years of his life to serving his country with honor, courage, and commitment. His service shaped not only his character but also the deep respect he carried for duty, family, and the values he lived by every day.
Mark was the beloved son of Carl Louis Wood and Judith Ann Siemons, and a cherished brother to Ron Wood, Brian Wood, and Kris Jellesed. His family roots ran deep, and he carried those connections with him throughout his life.
Above all, Mark was a devoted father—steadfast, protective, and endlessly loving. He leaves behind five children who were the center of his world: Kristina, David, Michael, Danielle, and Christopher Wood. His pride in them was immeasurable, and his guidance and love will continue to shape their lives.
Mark’s presence was defined by quiet strength, a sharp sense of humor, and a heart that gave generously. Whether in uniform or at home, he led by example—showing resilience in hardship, loyalty in relationships, and compassion in the moments that mattered most.
He will be remembered as a Marine, a father, a son, a brother, and a man whose life touched many. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and in the values he instilled in all who knew him.
Mark Edward Wood will be profoundly missed and forever honored.
