Margaret(Peggy) Ann Demers of Double Oak, TX, formerly of Taunton, MA, passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 7, 2026.

Born on July 22, 1941, Peggy built a life centered on family, dedication, and service to others. She was the daughter of Evelyn and Thomas Spillane also from Taunton, MA. Peggy was the high school sweetheart of Robert and they were married for over 63 years. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Cheryl (deceased), Jeffrey, and Peter. She was also a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous pride and joy. Peggy graduated from the Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing in 1961 and dedicated 22 years of her life to the nursing profession, caring compassionately for countless patients and families.

In 1983, Peggy and her family relocated to Highland Village, TX, where she began a successful second career in real estate. Her strong work ethic, leadership, and energetic personality helped her thrive in the industry. She went on to purchase and manage a RE/MAX franchise for many years before retiring from real estate in 2002.

Peggy will be remembered for her strength, determination, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched throughout her careers and through the family she loved so deeply.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
