Malcolm was born on June 17, 1977, in Macon, Georgia, to parents Mary Ann and Bobby Lee Moss.
He is survived by his loving son, Jamaal Malcolm Moss; his sister, Modestine and (Edward) Risper of Macon, Georgia; his sister, Neanda and (Antonio) Andrews of Griffn, Georgia; his brother, Bennie and (Keri) Gibson of Carrollton, Texas; and his brother, Anthony and (Nimfa) Gibson of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Malcolm also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family, and friends who cherished him dearly.
Malcolm Luther Moss was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Moss.
Malcolm was a devoted father, cherished brother, beloved uncle, and friend to many, he leaves behind a lasting imprint on the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. For 24 years, Malcolm served as a dedicated educator, inspiring and guiding countless students with patience, wisdom, and an unwavering belief in their potential. His passion for education was matched only by the love he had for his family—especially his pride and joy, his son Jamaal. Their bond was deep and the time they spent together was filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories.
Whether he was riding jet skis across Caribbean waves or cheering on his Kansas City Chiefs, Malcolm approached life with excitement and joy. An adventure and thrill seeker at heart, he found happiness in both the big moments and the small, always seeking out new experiences and encouraging others to live life fully.
He was the life of the party, a man who could light up any room with his warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine ability to connect with people. His presence brought comfort, his energy brought joy, and his love brought people together. He had a gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and uplifted.
Malcolm will be deeply missed by his son Jamaal, his loving siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends, and the many students and colleagues whose lives he touched. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, laughter, and living life to the fullest will continue to shine in our hearts.
