Livia Phoebe Lorincz

October 27, 1949 — July 4, 2025

Livia Phoebe Lorincz of Keller, Texas, went to be with the LORD on July 4, 2025. Phoebe was a loving wife, devoted mother and caring grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Dej, Romania on October 27, 1949, to Grigore Muresan and Livia (Mecea) Muresan. She was married to Samuel Lorincz for 55 years and was preceded in death by her parents and Jonathan Lorincz (grandson).

Phoebe is survived by her loving husband, Samuel Lorincz; their three children, Peter Lorincz (Debbie Lorincz, wife), Anca Lorincz, Daniella (Dana) Vingelen (Bill Vingelen, husband); her six grandchildren, Daniel Lorincz (Katie Lorincz, wife), Michael Lorincz (Emily Lorincz, wife), Rachel Hammock (Samuel Hammock, husband), Grace Lorincz, Maven Vingelen and two great-grandchildren, Enoch Lorincz and Vella Lorincz. She is also survived by her brother, Peter Muresan (Rodica Muresan, wife) and nephew, Sebi Muresan and niece, Ariana Raveica (John Raveica, husband) and great-nephew, Alister Raveica and great-niece, Daphne Raveica.

She was a faithful member of GOD’s family and deeply cherished the family that GOD provided her and her husband. Her magnetic personality drew the young children towards her as she readily smiled and cared for them. Phoebe was a loyal friend, witty with a playful sense of humor. Before coming to America, she was an accountant for 13 years. After coming to America, she worked for 10 years in gift shop sales and 10 years as a line worker and QC Inspector for Packard Electric (Warren, OH). Phoebe believed in the privilege of public duty by also becoming a polling place Judge (Boardman, OH). In 1981, when Phoebe changed countries, she joined the church choir to serve the LORD and also learn more English trying to keep up with what her children were doing in school. Her beautiful Romanian accent was never lost, but she learned the language well. She and her husband would enjoy their traveling hobby from Australia to Israel and to about 40 states in America. Phoebe will be sorely missed, but we grieve with hope knowing that her hope in the LORD is now realized.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Keller, Texas, on Saturday – July 19, 2025. Her family will receive friends and family members for visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Phoebe will be laid to rest at Bourland Cemetery in Keller, Texas.
