Lisa G. Fairchild
May 18, 1959 – October 7, 2026
Lisa G. Fairchild was born on May 18, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas, to William Richard Kennedy and Lovena Kennedy. On October 7, 2026, Lisa’s life came to an unexpected end, leaving behind a family and countless friends and coworkers who are struggling to imagine a world without her.
If you knew Lisa, you knew she was a spitfire. Stubborn, outspoken, funny, and never one to sugarcoat the truth, she had a personality all her own and a heart that always found room to help someone else. She lived life on the go and rarely passed up an excuse for an adventure. Whether she was shopping, headed to Canton, wandering a craft fair, enjoying GrapeFest or the State Fair, yelling at the Dallas Cowboys, or driving entirely too far for something good to eat, Lisa was happiest when she had somewhere to be. And wherever she went, you could almost guarantee a Dr Pepper was coming along for the ride. Her love for Dr Pepper was less of a preference and more of a lifestyle.Lisa spent many years working at General Dynamics, now Lockheed Martin, where she met her husband, Kenneth Fairchild. After several layoffs, she began building seats for General Motors at Lear Corporation in 1998. For the next 28 years, she became so much more than a coworker. She was the go-to person for parties and celebrations, the one people could count on, and their unofficial “CNN” of the workplace. Lisa was someone people could count on, and she left her mark on the people she worked alongside.
Above all, Lisa was a wife, mother, and grandmother whose presence was woven into the everyday lives of the people she loved. She leaves behind her husband, Kenneth Fairchild; her daughters, Brittany Fairchild and Courtney Fairchild; her son, Brandon Fairchild; her grandchildren, Bailea Griffith and Billie Griffith; and her brother, Rodney Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Richard and Lovena Kennedy, and her in-laws, Lee and Jessie Fairchild.Lisa worked hard, gave generously, and lived life in her own unmistakable way. She loved worship music and filled her days with work, adventures, crossword puzzles, and the people she loved. Her family will miss her laughter, her opinions, her phone calls, and the everyday moments they never imagined would become so precious.
Though her passing was unexpected, the love she gave and the memories she created will live on in everyone fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind countless stories that will be told for years to come and a love that will continue long after the world feels different without her.
Proverbs 31:31 says, “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Lisa lived these words through her hard work, her generous heart, and the countless ways she showed up for the people in her life. She was one of a kind. She was our Lisa. And there will never be another quite like her.
