Linda Lee Dearden WoltSeptember 29, 1942 – April 28, 2025
Linda Lee Dearden Wolt finished her race and entered into the arms of her savior Jesus on April 28, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on September 29, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, she was raised in Portland, Oregon, where her deep love for people and a life of service began to take shape.
Linda met the love of her life, Ed Wolt, at the Paramount Theater in Idaho Falls, where Ed worked as an usher and ticket taker. What began as a simple encounter soon became a lifelong love story. They were married and spent the majority of their 52 years of marriage building a beautiful life together in Utah raising two sons and a wonderful daughter.
A graduate of Utah State’s Nursing School, Linda faithfully served others using her many talents as a nurse, care coordinator, and chaplain.
She had a deep love for the outdoors and especially anything involving water—boating, swimming, and being immersed in nature from sunrise to sunset brought her great joy. She cherished mystery books and movies, never turned down a sweet treat, and found life and laughter in the simple pleasures of family, faith, and fun.
Linda was deeply involved in her church community, joyfully serving at camps, retreats, and wherever there was a need.
She is survived by her children, Scott Wolt and Wendy Wolt Patterson; her grandchildren, Madison Wolt, Ashley Hill, and Jake Patterson; her great-grandchildren, Knox Hill and Piper Hill; and her amazing nephews, Ryan Wolt, Philip Wolt, Peter Wolt, and Michael Wolt. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ed Wolt, and her son, John Wolt.
Linda’s legacy is one of faith, service, love, and joy. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor the memory of Linda by blessing her daughter Wendy with a spa day at Mineral Springs. An activity they enjoyed together.
