Linda Louise Leigh, 83, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on March 13th while sleeping.
Linda Leigh was born on May 3rd, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to John and Irma Swanson. She grew up in Blue Island, Illinois.
She married Donald Leigh on October 11th, 1962, sharing 63 years together. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who brought joy and showed kindness to everyone she met.
Linda was passionate about her family and would always look for ways to express her deep love by helping and serving any way she could. How she loved was an example to her children and their families. She was always willing to listen to anyone and engage in conversation with them.
She is survived by her husband Don, her two children Donnie and Jimmy, and their families.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dementia Society of America in Linda’s honor.
Linda will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, love, generosity, and strength. We take comfort in knowing that she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that we will see her again.

Donald Wayne Leigh, 89, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on March 17th whilesleeping.
Donald Leigh was born on June 23rd, 1935, in Moweaqua, Illinois to Harry and Daphne Leigh. He grew up in various small towns in central Illinois.
He married Linda Leigh on October 11th, 1962, sharing 63 years together. He loved his family and was proud to have raised two sons successful in business and life, each having very close-knit and loving families. He was also the first in his family to graduate from college on the GI Bill.
While in Florida, Don was active in his local church, serving on the elder board for many years. Known as “Grandpa”, “Poppy” and “Pops” he loved spoiling his 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren with donuts and two-dollar bills. He played cards his whole life and was a gin rummy master winning 90% of the time. Also, an avid reader it wasn’t uncommon for him to read 3 books a week. He loved college basketball and would always cheer on his Fighting Illini.
His wife, Linda, passed away four days before him. Don and Linda enjoyed traveling together visiting places such as Europe and Tahiti as well as numerous cruises. He is survived by his two sons, Donnie and Jimmy, and their families.
