Linda Suzanne "Susie" Bransom

Linda Suzanne “Susie” Bransom, age 64, passed away on September 21, 2026. Born on March 14, 1962, in Riverside, California, Susie lived a remarkable life defined by service, love, adventure, and an unwavering devotion to her family.

Susie was the daughter of Judith Robinson and Alfred St. Arnold. She graduated from Haltom High School in 1980 before continuing her education at Texas Tech University and serving in the United States Air Force. A proud veteran, Susie served as a military nurse and was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. During the 1983 attack on the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, Susie helped care for and save the lives of many Marines. Her dedication to nursing and to those she served was a source of tremendous pride throughout her life.

Following her military service, Susie continued her career with the Bureau of Prisons, where she dedicated 25 years to serving others. She took great pride in being a nurse and was known as an exceptional caregiver. Her compassion, strength, and dedication to helping others were hallmarks of both her professional and personal life.

On November 11, 2005, Susie married the love of her life, Jimmy Bransom, in Fort Worth. Together, they shared a life filled with family, laughter, travel, and adventure. Susie loved scuba diving with Jimmy, trips to Las Vegas where she enjoyed shooting dice and playing the slots, horse racing, and spending time at the beach. She was also a huge Texas Rangers and Texas Tech fan.

But more than anything, Susie loved her family. She loved being a Nana more than anything in the world and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, especially swimming with them in her pool. She was a great mom who loved her children fiercely and was, in their eyes, the best nurse and the best mom anyone could ask for. Her grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy, and being their Nana was one of the greatest honors of her life.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Judith Robinson and Alfred St. Arnold, and her sister, Diann Rhoads.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jimmy Bransom; daughter, Lindsey Vinson and her husband, David Vinson; sons, John Bransom and his wife, Lindsay Bransom, and Justin Bransom and his wife, Roberta Bransom; sisters, Kammy Rogers, Theresa Martin, and Ashley St. Arnold; and her grandchildren, Olivia, Corbin, and Blair Vinson, and Jack, Addison, Emberlyn, and Charlie Bransom.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home – Keller. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Susie leaves behind a legacy of courage, compassion, service, and above all, love. She was a devoted wife, an incredible mother, a beloved Nana, a dedicated nurse, and a woman who lived life with heart and adventure. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
