Liane Castilaw, 90, passed away July 09, 2026 in Ada, Oklahoma. Liane was born July 05, 1936 in Heidelberg, Germany, the daughter of Eugene and Johanna Hagenbuch.
Liane, better known as Oma to most, married her Sweetheart American Soldier Robert Castilaw on July 02, 1955. The following year, she had a sweet baby girl and moved to America. She taught herself how to read, write and speak English. She built a home library with many books that she love to read. When she wasn't busy reading, her hands were busy making beautiful quilts, knitting all kinds of items for children and adults. When she would get tired of knitting, she would crochet, sew or needle point. Her reason for her hobbies wasto have something to show what she had done at the end of the day. However, her greatest joy was when she got ot cook big meals for her favorite family members and friends while enjoying their presence in her home.
Liane was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert Castilaw; daughter Marion Tassin; son Shannon Castilaw; grandson Blake Prather; parents Eugene and Johanna Hagenbuch; two brothers and two sisters.
Liane is survived by her daughter Dolores Prather, son-in-law Aubry (Bo) Prather Sr; grandsons Aubry Prather Jr. and spouse Staci Prather; Scott (Logan Prather; Chad Prather; Tyler Tassin and spouse Carrie Tassin; David Tassin and spouse Stephanie Tassin; Steven Tassin and Maverick Tassin; Thomas Tassin and Kattie Tassin; great-granddaughters Abbe Mason and spouse Tyler Mason; Quinn Tassin; and Sophie Tassin; great-grandsons Peyton Prather and fiance Kaylee Bedel; Callum Prather; Miles Tassin and Calvin Tassin.
